Service Description
For Professionals ready to go from not knowing, feeling unsure and struggling to help your clients to UNDERSTANDING and KNOWING how to recognize, diagnose and treat Eating Disorders. This is a hybrid event that will be held in-person in Pocatello and virtually from anywhere in the world. After this workshop, professionals will be able to: Understand the prevalence of disordered eating, body image issues and eating disorders Understand diet culture and the harm it causes Identify symptoms and diagnose Eating Disorders Know how to make therapeutic and support team recommendations for client Address their own biases and begin to understand their relationship to food and diet culture Decrease harmful language and interactions Use and teach inclusive and evidence based language Increase skills and resources for the eating disorder clients Use therapeutic tools and interventions to appropriately address, eating disorders and body image Understand and teach Intuitive Eating Principles Work within a Team Model Utilize Family interventions Identify and understand how trauma affects Eating Disorders Understand the limitations of doing trauma work and EMDR with Eating Disorder Clients Utilize therapeutic tools and modalities for clients with all types of eating disorders

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation & Refund Policy Cancellations made 30 or more days before the event will receive a full refund minus credit card processing fees. Cancellations made 14–29 days before the event will receive a 50% refund minus credit card processing fees. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 14 days of the event; however, registrants may opt to transfer their registration to the self-study version of the course, if available. Substitutions are allowed at any time. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another individual by notifying us in writing prior to the event. In the event that The Eating Disorder Consultants cancels the event, all registration fees will be fully refunded. We are not responsible for reimbursement of travel, lodging, or other associated costs. Please note: Credit card processing fees are non-refundable, as they are retained by the payment processor and not by The Eating Disorder Consultants.
